blue/ stamped metal/ toy wind-up car probably made by CIJ or JEP/
this toy might have been used as a dealer promo in France/ 1:20th scale estimated--measures
7 inches in length/ no opening features/ 90% paint/ nice
logo on front/ Paris license plate number/ I do not have a key for this car, but
borrowed one once to see if it worked. It works very nicely. The rear of the car
sits lower when not wound./ has seen some child's play but no damage other than
paint rubs/ kinky little French car with lots of personality and a historical
provenance of sorts...$425.

A model just like the one shown here is the upper half of the head! The second toy car (not yet identified) is turned upside down and forms the lower jaw portion of the head. | Stock# 303-LF...1949 Deerborne woody wagon/ Bayview Blue Metallic/ heavy metal slush-cast bank (retro style) with casting produced in Banthrico facilities circa early 1990's/ includes original box/ 1:27th scale approximate/ no opening features except for pop-out bank trap door underneath/ this item was hand finished with hours of work done removing casting flash marks, painting etc./ wheels are machined aluminum with individually machined hubcaps/ the molded-in spare tire hubcap has been replaced with a correct hand-machined one/ all the charm of the original promos of the era with a higher level modern finish...$138. | |
