to be ready for the big event--Introduction Day! In order to have the showroom and grounds ready, the dealers had to do their
homework way ahead of time. They received an announcement materials package in the summer. They ordered
the promotional material that they wanted or could afford and hoped that
everything arrived
in time for the big introduction day. Offered here is just such an announcement materials booklet--Chrysler Plymouth: 1982 Announcement and Merchandising Materials. This item measures 11 by 8.5 inches, is made of heavy stock and contains 16 pages/ features Basic Kit, Update Materials, Customer Invitations, DodgeTruck Kit and Outdoor Display Materials/ Theme is "The Leading Edge in High Technology." This is an uncommon piece of literature. Excellent condition. Tight security regarding new products sometimes caused announcement books to picture similar items or products used in the previous model year as well as sketches to aid the dealer in visualization of items to be ordered. Note: This item was never used as it was sent to Jim Truitt, deceased, who was a graphic designer who probably designed portions of this announcement material. This item, printed on quality stock, measures 9 by 12 inches and contains 28 pages showing car window trim, showroom updates (hanging signs, placards, centerpieces, color selectors, floor displays, feature car displays, etc), outdoor materials, truck merchandising materials including dealership service truck identification kits, displays for literature and color and upholstery books, contest materials and prizes and goodwill and giveaway materials which include lots of neat promotional items. The series referenced are Escort, Granada, trucks, Bronco and Thunderbird. This item does not contain supplemental order forms or samples of imprinted invitations as it would have when sent to its respective dealership.
