| Stock# 2023...1949 (approximate) Tootsietoy fire truck/ measures three inches and is in very nice original condition. It might be a La France or a Seagraves or anything. My camera distorts the look of this item. It seems to enlarge the chips and the hubs. To the naked eye, this is an especially clean unplayed with toy that was used very little for an adult train layout. The underside is excellent. This was a late 40's to early 50's item. Paint rates 97%. Good display item...$19.95. | |

This picture is being included to help you visualize the broken item below if restored. The one offered for sale below has two gold horses with a black one in center whereas the reference picture has two black ones and a white one. The firemen riding on this one seem to be painted in a more detailed way than the one offered for sale below. The one offered for sale below has a gold fireman on the back with no detailing. The one shown here was dated 1915. Hubley surely made this item for a number of years. Is the broken one offered for sale below older or newer? Any additional information will be appreciated. |

Stock# 2600...1906 (production seems to span 1906-1920 approximately) Hubley horse-drawn fire engine/ unusual team of three horses/ referenced in Long's Dictionary of Toys" on page 41 of Volume 1. This item has some damage, but the damage should be repairable in the right hands. A piece this rare hopefully will be restored. It measures 18 inches and is missing the driver and the hose reel. The fireman on the back remains in place. To my eye this item has not seen hard use. It merely had one bad moment...$98. Free Shipping US! |

| Stock# 28CP...I have done my research and haven't learned much. In WWI a green maple leaf sometimes adorned Canadian ships. The current Canadian flag evolved from this. This pin has the following wording: "ARA" and "Equipment Painting Section, Montreal 1928." This little item certainly is a piece of Canadian history. I would guess that it is cloisonné. Nice little item for jewelry collectors, flag collectors and Canadian history buffs...$14.95. Free Shipping US! | |

License Plates And Disabled American Veterans Key Chain Plates
|
Here is a neat political new old stock (NOS) original vintage plate. This plate is 12 by 5.75 inches. It is heavy gauge stamped metal and is likely to be no newer than 1963. Some features of the plate such as the outer raised border are the same as found on 1962 and 1963 North Carolina license plates but discontinued in 1964. One feature might be a clue for this plate being older than the early sixties. It has inner screw slots and outer screw holes, top and bottom, which are normally found on plates made around 1956 and before. The purpose of the several screw holes/slots was to accommodate various tag holders prior to national license plate size standardization (1957). This plate has the coloration of South Carolina plates. What we have here is a plate, most likely that is fifty years old or more and is in new unused condition. The lower slots still have a thin coat of blue paint that has not been removed. This plate should appeal to political collectors and to old car owners who might want to add a touch of old politics to the front of their cars. It should also make a nice wall item for politicos. Choose between two options here. Both feature... Free US Shipping! |

Publications Including Books and Ephemera
| Sometime in 1930
General Motors,
Division Fisher Body Corporation, began a campaign to find automotive
styling designers and engineers. They came up with a youth-oriented
contest called the Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild. For the first decade
of this program there was a model building contest based upon a themed
vehicle--the Fisher Body logo coach used by GM for several decades. The
GM Fisher logo coach was a combination of Napoleon' coronation coach and
his marital coach when he married Marie Louise of Austria.
In the early 1930's the contest required the contestants to build everything from scratch. This might have been too daunting and thus limited entries. Later on in the 30's some of more intricate parts were supplied by GM to the contestants. Stock# 809...The package being offered here consists of four items. 1...Mailing envelope is attic dusty and somewhat tattered on the edges. Cancelled stamp indicates a mailing between 1930 and 1937. 2...Graphic schematic folding page shows all the details to be constructed/ 23 by 33 inches/ very nice condition and good subject for framing. This item suggests that it might be among the earliest mailings (around 1931) as it makes no reference to additional parts. 3...A colorful rendition of front and rear views of the coach/ 19.5 by 11 inches/ considerable foxing but in presentable condition. 4...A colorful rendition of the side view of the coach/ 19.5 by 11 inches/ modest foxing in one area but in presentable condition. This historical item (4 pieces) is being offered for a modest price and should be a nice addition to most any comprehensive General Motors collection...$19.95. Shipping is $11.95 for special (large size) packaging . Insurance is $2.95. (Also pg1931) |

| Stock# 2003...This tin car has features of both 52 and 53 Buicks. It was made by Marusan and measures 8.5 inches in length. It is a "four-holer" four-door sedan. It has battery operated features which do not work; however the battery box is exceptionally clean. This toy has the appearance of never being played with by children and the paint is around 99% present with good gloss. The roof finish has been slightly damaged by paper sticking to it while in storage. The chrome trim has a gold anodized look with some rub but no rust. This car looks better in natural light than the picture suggests. The wheel covers are the nicest I've seen on any tin toy ever and the car has a neat, artistic charm about it...$295. | Stock# 7012...1955 Ford (more or less) with a doggie in the window. This high quality tin car measures eight inches in length. The doggie sticks his head in and out of the window and yips (squeaks) as the rear wheels turn the friction motor. This car was purchased new by an adult for his collection back in the fifties. It is in nearly new condition. It has a couple of chips on the driver's side, a couple of which are touched up with identical paint signifying, to me at least, that it was touched up at the manufacturing facility. 1967 Chrysler Outboard Motorboat Kit Above: I have taken this item out of its original box. It has never been touched or unwrapped before this moment. This kit is rare, rare. Once in a rare while you can find this kit in its commercial box by MPC or Craft Master. The promo box shown has no printing on it because it is a promo box. It is not promoting a toy to be sold in a hobby shop. It is simply intended as a promotional giveaway item by the authorized Chrysler Marine dealer. Promo cars are often found in plain white boxes. This box is similar and has a bit of aging as is typical. Above: I have unfolded the tissue so that you can see what you are getting. I will not disturb it any further and will fold it back as closely as possible to the original folds of the tissue. |
|
Assembled Example One of these kits was assembled and painted by professional builder, David Crowe, a few years ago to demonstrate the beauty of this kit. The boat shown below is a completed example and is not the boat you are buying. You are buying the unassembled boat kit above. |
