Fire Fighter Toys

This picture is being included to help you visualize the broken item below if restored. The one offered for sale below has two gold horses with a black one in center whereas the reference picture has two black ones and a white one. The firemen riding on this one seem to be painted in a more detailed way than the one offered for sale below. The one offered for sale below has a gold fireman on the back with no detailing. The one shown here was dated 1915. Hubley surely made this item for a number of years. Is the broken one offered for sale below older or newer? Any additional information will be appreciated. Stock# 2600...1906 (production seems to span 1906-1920 approximately) Hubley horse-drawn fire engine/ unusual team of three horses/ referenced in Long's Dictionary of Toys" on page 41 of Volume 1. This item has some damage, but the damage should be repairable in the right hands. A piece this rare hopefully will be restored. It measures 18 inches and is missing the driver and the hose reel. The fireman on the back remains in place. To my eye this item has not seen hard use. It merely had a bad day...$148.

Stock# 8101...1954 (approximate) Andy Guard fire tractor and trailer/ red plastic remote control which may or may not work/ slight warp but excellent for one of these/ missing left ladder--right ladder is present/ measures 16" in length/ looks unused and displays quite well...$98 ($9).

Stock# 2023...1949 (approximate) Tootsietoy fire truck/ measures three inches and is in very nice original condition. It might be a La France or a Seagraves or anything. My camera distorts the look of this item. It seems to enlarge the chips and the hubs. To the naked eye, this is an especially clean unplayed with toy that was used very little for an adult train layout. The underside is excellent. This was a late 40's to early 50's item. Paint rates 97%. Good display item...$22 ($6).
